I am a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience and expertise in treating eating/weight related disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders and sleep disorders. I have a strong background in research. This foundation of knowledge is invaluable as it fuels my clinical practice and informs my decisions in providing optimal patient care. Therapy is a collaboration; my style is active, warm and compassionate. In addition to seeing patients, I am currently on the Adjunct Faculty at Stanford University and enjoy teaching. |

Specialization: Eating Disorders and Weight Management
Clinical I have 15 years of experience providing evidence-based therapy in outpatient, intensive outpatient therapy (IOP), day treatment and residential settings specializing in eating disorders. I have also served as a study therapist on several randomized control trials (FBT for adolescents with anorexia nervosa; CBT for adolescents with bulimia nervosa; CBT for adults with binge eating disorder). I am one of the only certified FBT therapists for treating adolescent anorexia nervosa in the east bay. Research My graduate and post-doctoral training have consistently been focused on the treatment of eating disorders and obesity in individuals across the life span. I have numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences on these topics. My focus over the last several years has been on developing novel and innovative treatments for individuals struggling with disordered eating and body dissatisfaction. |
